Formed in 2013, the Argus Quartet won the Beverly Hills Consortium prize and the MTAC San Diego Competition.

As Yale School of Music’s fellowship quartet-in-residence under the mentoring of the Brentano String Quartet, the quartet was recently awarded a commissioning grant from Chamber Music America for a new work by composer and GRAMMY nominee, Eric Guinivan.  Recent performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Cello Biënnale in Amsterdam. Next season includes residencies at the Milken School, California State University Long Beach and the Birdfoot Festival

The Argus Quartet is an official selection of the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition (August 29 -September 4, 2016).

Winner of the 2015 Young Artist Prize of the State of Bavaria, the Goldmund Quartet also won the 2014 Schoenfeld International String Competition in China.

Formed in 2009 at the Music Conservatory in Munich, the quartet is currently working under the tutelage of Gerhard Schulz in Stuttgart and Günter Pichler in Madrid; the quartet has received important artistic inputs from the Vogler, Ysaye and Cherubini quartets, André J. Roy, Eberhard Feltz and Alfred Brendel. Chamber music partners include artists such as Peter Buck, Christopher Park, Christoph Poppen and Arabella Steinbacher.

The Goldmund Quartet is an official selection of the ARD International String Quartet Competition in Munich (September 2016).

Established in 2007, the Meccore String Quartet is one of Poland’s most compelling young ensembles.  The quartet has received numerous awards including the 2nd prize, as well as awards for the best performances of Mozart and Haydn quartets at the 2012 Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition in London.

Studies with members of the Camerata Quartet, the Artemis Quartet, Gerhard Schulz, Günter Pichler, the Vogler Quartet, Heime Müller and Alfred Brendel, the quartet has received the Irene Steels-Wilsing Stiftung award in 2012 and 2014, which led to the release of their two first CDs.

Since 2010, the Meccore String Quartet have been hosting and organizing the International Chamber Music Festival "Q'arto Mondi" in Poznań.

First prize winner of the 2016 Yellow Springs Competition, the Rolston Quartet also won the “Prix Durosoir” at the 2016 Bordeaux International String Quartet competition.

Formed in 2013 and currently Graduate Quartet-in-Residence at Rice University under the guidance of James Dunham, Norman Fischer and Kenneth Goldsmith, the quartet takes its name after Canadian violinist Thomas Rolston, the founder of the Music and Sound Programs at the Banff Centre. Notable collaborations include performances with renowned artists Andrés Díaz, Gil Kalish, Jon Kimura Parker and Miguel da Silva.

The Rolston Quartet is an official selection of the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition (August 29 -September 4, 2016).

Formed in 2015, the Gemini Quartet works under the tutelage of Peter Salaff and members of The Cavani String Quartet at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Members of the quartet have competed at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition, and additional national and local solo and chamber music competitions.

Strengthen by studies at the Meadowmount School of Music, the Aspen Music Festival, the National Arts Centre Summer Music Institute and the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Gemini String Quartet plans to continue to grow as a group through quartet intensive programs as well as participate in various outreach performances.

Winner of the Schoenfeld International Chamber Music competition, the Gloucester Quartet is the graduate quartet in residence of the Academy for Performing Arts of Hong Kong under the tutelage of professors Ivan Chan, Michael Ma and Ray Wang.

The quartet has also benefitted from the teaching of Earl Carlyss, Steven Tenenbom, David Strange and played in master classes for the Endellion, Miro and Miami string quartets.  Recent highlights include performances at the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, the Helmut Sohmen International Series and a special appearance at the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong.

The quartet plays on instruments on loan from the Hong Kong Club Charities Trust and the Society of the Academy for Performing Arts.

Formed in 2015 at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, the Milton Quartet is working under the tutelage of professor André J. Roy. 

In addition to performing at University events, the quartet has enjoyed a wide variety of musical engagements in Montreal including their debut at the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society.  Avid contemporary musicians, the members of the quartet have performed with ensembles such as ECM+ as well as the McGill and Colburn Contemporary Ensembles.  In May 2016, the quartet was invited to perform at the Opera America Conference 2016.

Devoted to chamber music dissemination, its members are involved in the Montreal community and engage in outreach opportunities and community events.

Formed in 2015 at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Kalos Quartet studies under the tutelage of Peter Salaff and members of the Cavani String Quartet.

The quartet also had the privilege to study with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Stephen Rose, Mathias Tacke and Sæunn Thorsteinsdottir.  Its members have been winners of many competitions including first prize in the junior division at the 2014 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and first prize at the 2014 WDAV Chamber Music Competition.

The Kalos Quartet performs regularly for a variety of audiences throughout the greater Cleveland area.  They particularly seek to bring their music to those who may not have the opportunity to readily access classical music, young and old alike.
